Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says im getting old..... nah seriously it says im a family man on a tight budget, simple as that.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My neighbours dont like it tbh, but i stay in a street full of bmw, volvo and mercedes owners so the daewoo is frowned upon.... my family and friends like it, or so they say....
Would you buy this car again and why?
No longer in production, but yes if they were id buy one, but used car to save a few £££ id buy another if this one has to go, simply because the car has all i need, its practical, lots of room, and at a budget price.
What are you likely to buy next?
Looked at nissan note before buying the tacuma, very nice car, but at over 4 times the price of the tacuma it wasnt an option i took. next car will be a ford focus.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£780
When did you buy the car?
April 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed extra space and legroom, was driving a renault megane coupe with a family of 4 and it was like a game of twister in the car daily trying to get everybody in and seated, so the tacuma was much needed, and welcomed.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
When i first drove it i didnt like it, felt it was slow, wandered about the road a bit, leaned in corners and bit noisy at motorway speeds, but id previously driven a renault coupe so took a while to adjust. now i enjoy driving it, its no flying machine, but you are high up, have good all round vision and as a cheap family car its got to be a good option.
What's it like to park?
Found it easy to park, but i drive coaches for a living so this is obviously no problem. good all round vision, huge mirrors to see whats behind you, large glass tailgate boot window to see through, my only moan is you cant see over the bonnet to see front of car so takes a while to learn how much room you have when parking.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Ive only had the car a few weeks so nothing has gone wrong yet to report, its got 53k on the clock and needs new timing kit/belt replaced at 60k so doing that next week at a cost of £230, ouch, but needs done or risk engine failure.
What's most practical about your car?
I love the space in this car, at 6ft tall i need to put my seat as far back as it will go but rear sets have ample room for anybody sitting behind me. also the boot space in really good and it has ample storage spaces, little cubby holes, compartments in the floor you lift up to store things etc, very practical.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Ive got the se version so no gadgets etc to speak of, electric windows as standard.
