Daewoo Tacuma Estate (2000-2005) engines, drive and performance

Although the 2.0 gives plenty of pull when it comes to overtaking, we’d go for the 1.6 as it’s a good blend of performance and economy. Both engines lack refinement when they’re pushed hard.
Steering feels lifeless and isn’t direct enough on the motorway. Suspension is up to absorbing most bumps, but can get caught out by bigger potholes. Imprecise clutch and wooly gearchange lets it down. Less roll than most of its rivals.
