Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£2,500
When did you buy the car?
February 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, but only as the bodywork had some dings on it. However my main concern was the service history to ensure reliablity which the car had.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I needed a cheap but reliable car and having had a Daihatsu before I thought it would fit the bill. Also I needed the car to be economical as I travel a distance to work and did not want to be crippled by the cost of petrol.
What was the dealer like?
No problems

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Surprisingly good. I owned a Citroen C1 before and to be honest I prefer to drive the Daihatsu. Its rather fun to drive (and my other cars a Lotus), which has been a surprise. Its very nippy for a 1 litre car and the handling is fine. It rolls a bit and the steering is a quiet light, however I find that its a laugh to take down a clear A road. As the suspension is soft its fairly comfortable. I have a 50 mile journey to work and this car is more than capable of the journey.
What's it like to park?
Very easy due to small size and tight turning circle.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing so far
What's most practical about your car?
Good fuel economy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
When you put the key in the ignition, where the mileage is recorded on the digital read out on the dash, its says hello and happy over and over again. This rather sums up the car. Cheeky little thing!
