Economy
Value
Superb second hand bargains. Fantastically equipped for a small car. Everything as standard!
Costs
Insurance is relatively high for a 1300cc hatch and depreciation could make you cry. However, it is extremely economical and mechanically robust

On the road
Driving
Handles reasonably well for a 'warm' hatch. 185 section tyres improve grip and roadholding.
Performance
0-60 in 7.8 seconds from a naturally aspirated 1300cc engine. Great acceleration in 3rd gear above 4000rpm. Red lines at 7500 rpm. Booming, frantic fun!

Living with it
Reliability
It is Japanese. Daihatsu have superb reliabilty. This is my second Daihatsu. Unfairly ignored manufacturer.
Image
People like to look at it, notably the alloys. However people cannot get past owning a brand that most people have not heard of. Their loss!
Comfort
Sports seats are supportive. Head room is adequate for six+ foot people. Footwell is slightly cramped, but it's not a Lexus.

Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser as standard. No one has tried to steal it.
Service
