Value
Good price for the performance and equipment you get. Got a great deal on a demo model. The YRV is no longer made, could be a good chance to get a deal on a old stock model.
Costs
Around £100 for 12000 mile service at Maple Garage, Sproatley, East Yorks. Excellent service, helpful and friendly.

Driving
Engine is very responsive. The steering can be a little vague. A let down in the corners. Suffers from under steer.
Performance
0 - 60 8 secs. Very fast on the straights. Put the gear box into ""steer shift"" mode (manual) and the car flies! You even get change-up lights for the gear changes. Over taking feels much more safer knowing you have the power and speed.

Reliability
No problems at all. Same engine as the Toyota Yaris 1.3, minus the turbo. Look around the car and you see a few Toyota parts.
Image
Daihatsu have managed to do the best they can in keeping the car as practical as possible. Can't help feeling if Daihatsu had designed a 3 door model, with a lower roofline. It would looked a whole lot better. Very much like a Honda Civic.
Comfort
Very comfortable on long and short journeys. The auto gear box is great in busy, stop-start traffic. Air con works well keeping the interior cool in the summer.

Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser as standard. An alarm should come as standard.
