Summary
What does this car say about you?
Fun. Not hung up on the marque. Eco/green.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They've all loved it so far. They seem particularly attracted to the matt black 16" alloy wheels.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Only had it for 3 weeks, but so far yes I would. Appears to be screwed together better than I thought it would, fun to drive, fun to look at and cheap to run.
What are you likely to buy next?
Skoda Yeti or Mini Clubman as a 2nd car.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£12,790
When did you buy the car?
June 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Given the newness/popularity of the Twinair in particular we already knew that discounts were small. We got some money off the car, discount on the service plan and a full tank of fuel (which we hadn't asked for).
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Friends have own one and love it. Always liked the look of the car. Interested in the Twinair engine.
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly, generally knowledge although maybe not completely truthful. However made sure we were aware that we probably wouldn't achieve the stated mpg figures. So generally very good so far.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very easy to drive and great fun with Eco turned off and if you're not worrying about mpg too much. With Eco on you'll work the gears more and it can struggle a little on big motorway hills. Ride is good, handling can feel a bit skippy at speed on country roads.
What's it like to park?
Very easy to park, but big doors can make it difficult to get out of in tight spaces... but no different to most 3dr cars.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only had it for about 3 weeks so not much chance for anything to go wrong yet! Car did arrive with a cracked exterior door handle, however they have ordered one and it will be replaced soon.
What's most practical about your car?
It's a city car so not really that practical although it doesn't feel too small inside. Having said that I did manage to get a 250 litre water butt in the back with the seats down so it can't be that bad.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Twinair engine is a hoot and returning high 40's for mpg at the moment; sounds terrific. Blue&Me is useful.
