Summary
What does this car say about you?
I've bought a FIAT 500.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it and it's acceleration and angry engine note seems to put a smile on their faces.
Would you buy this car again and why?
My wife would like another one and I'm quite happy with it but there's a lot of competition out there come change over time and it's inability to negotiate pot holes annoys me.
What are you likely to buy next?
We.ll see what 2015 brings.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£12,500
When did you buy the car?
January 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes I think so. Got a reasonable trade in and the car was delivered with optional Abarth alloys and side skirts and,as I wasn't prepared to pay extra for them, they were thrown in with the deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a small economical second car.
What was the dealer like?
Hit and miss. It was a dual FIAT/KIA dealership and I bought a KIA Sportage at the same time. I had no grief with FIAT but lots of angry letters and exchanges with KIA resulting in the Sportage being sold on after 4 months (woudn't buy another Sportage).

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A hoot, it has a surprising turn of speed in Sport mode and the engine makes an angry noise under acceleration. On the negative side, it may be a city car but it doesn't cope too well with the UK's pot holed city streets and it can be a bit noisy at speed (road noise).
What's it like to park?
A doodle.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No but it's just been booked in for a safety recall.
What's most practical about your car?
It;s size and fuel economy. I see some people have had issues with MPG only being in the 30's but I regularly achieve 50+ using the car on a mixed dual carriageway/country roads/urban roads.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The side skirts and alloys make it look a bit like an Abarth.
