Should you buy a Fiat 500L?
If you’re after a car that offers space, and clever and useful functionality, the 500L ticks a lot of boxes. Its appeal should strengthen as rival MPVs disappear from view, as it’s an ectremely practical car for your money, and few SUV crossovers come close to matching its interior room.
But there’s no escaping its age and consequent lack of kit and tech. And that is obviously a consideration for many buyers these days. Finally, the Fiat 500L may lack the charm and good looks that attracted so many buyers to the original (and huge-selling) 500 hatchback, but it more than makes up for this in flexibility and practicality – that alone should put it your shopping list if you’re looking for an honest family car.
