Summary
What does this car say about you?
Hopefully that I am not a sheep and I have a strong sense of my own identity. Plus, I am prepared to take a risk.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Think it is cracking looking in side and out.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, if I wasn't such an Alfa fan - I bought this as the 147 is way too old and costly to run.
What are you likely to buy next?
Alfa 149 when it comes (assuming it is good) or the 159 V6

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
May 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got the fleet car deal by buying on-line (meant £3k off the OTR list price).
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I had to give up my trusty 147 due to it not being trusty any more. Was looking for something equally stylish and with a bit of poke.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent - car was delivered to the door of my work in prefect condition.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Puts a big grin on my ugly mug - the engine is gruff at lower revs and rasps as they build. It does NOT sound like a hairdryer, like the VW version of this engine. Very quick and surprises a lot of people. Settles to a refined cruiser on the motorway, good fun on the twisty stuff and already getting 37mpg with only 1600 miles covered,
What's it like to park?
Pretty good, though you need a decent sense of spacial awareness when reversing - that back window is very small.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nope, although the plastic around the rear hatch needs tightening up - it rattles on very poor road surfaces.
What's most practical about your car?
Didn't buy it for practicality, but the boot is very spacious.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Blue & Me - unnecessary but fun to have a conversation with your car. Also, I love the USB port - means you don't trawl around with loads of CDs.
