Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I'm willing to try something a bit different from the usual Focus, Astra, Golf, etc.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it. Think the interior is nice and that it's a pretty unusual and cool looking car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Has bags of character but prefer something more refined.
What are you likely to buy next?
I've already bought a Leon mk3.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,000
When did you buy the car?
May 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yeah. It was high mileage so was reduced in price but my annual mileage was very low any way so wan't concerned. Also, the dealer didn't realise it had parking sensors fitted so I got them for free.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It was cheap, had a large boot and a decent diesel engine.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly. Laid back. Let me take me time to decide.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Not bad. Decent grip and power, although not lightning quick. Steering lacks a bit of feel though. Also, gear change is long and a bit floppy and the suspension can be noisy on speed humps and potholes.
What's it like to park?
Easy enough. Rear parking sensors help but the boot does protrude out a fair bit from the back of the car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing too major. Needed a new gear selector a couple of years ago due to corrosion and new front suspension coils earlier this year. Other than that, it's been a solid, reliable car. Inside the only thing to note is that the 'Blue & Me' entertainment system is a bit temperamental and would sometimes stop recognising my memory stick.
What's most practical about your car?
Huge boot space and 5 door. Also the engine was pretty nice. Quite loud, but pulled well.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Rear parking sensors have been nice to have.
