What does this car say about you?

Bit of a left field choice but overall its been an excellent ownership proposition.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it and like the looks.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would consider a Bravo whenever the next one is released. It's cost me very little and it's pretty quick.

What are you likely to buy next?

Maybe a Guiletta, one series coupe but I quite like the Passat CC as well.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think I got a good deal as the car had only done 38k when I bought it and I got an extra years free warranty.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I liked the look of the car and felt it was the most performance/equipment i could get for the money.

What was the dealer like?

Purchased from Thames in Slough and they have always been very helpful if I've had a problem. They fixed a few issues under warranty.

What's it like to drive?

It's got plenty of power especially on the motorway where it cruises effortlessly. I do a mixture of town & motorway driving and tend to do about 80mph but still get between 43-45MPG. However the engine isn't that refined and there's no enjoyment in revving it. The handling is adequate. Its got big overhangs and a heavy engine so it understeers quite a big and it leans in the bends. Usually the trade off would be a decent ride but my girlfriends 98 Polo rides better. It's not got a bad ride but I would have expected better.

What's it like to park?

Fine, its got windows and everything.

Have you had any problems with the car?

In the first year I had it the EGR valve needed replacing as did the glow plugs. The air conditioning unit also had to be replaced. All of these things were repaired under warranty and I've had no issues with the car since.

What's most practical about your car?

It's very cheap to run.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The blue&me is excellent.
