Fiat Cinquecento 3d (1995/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Overpriced for the amount of car you get, however amazing on fuel a total meiser.
Costs
New parts are expensive and needed on the yearly MOT. General running costs cheap.
-
On the road
Driving
Handles like a Go-Kart, however badly positioned seat and pedals can cause aches if used to a larger car.
Performance
Very slow. The car isn't designed for performance and sounds more like a hairdryer than an engine. Struggles to exceed 90mph.

Living with it
Reliability
Needs a lot of servicing; electrics, gearbox, engine and handbrake. Even our petrol tank needed work.
Image
Mine has colour coded bumpers and metalic blue paint, but you can't hide that box shape look.
Comfort
I found it very uncomfortable. The seats are thin and not well padded.

Security and Service
Security
You would need an alarm/immobiliser. Standard locks are weak.
Service
£40 for a rear wiper arm? The hunt round scrapyards continues.

Problems and Ownership

Noisy tappets. Vibrating airfilter cover overusing oil.
