  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Excellent value for the looks, performance and ability to carry 4 people in comfort.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Servicing - cheap. Running - dual personality: heavy use of boot causes <28mpg, otherwise high 30s, even 40s possible.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Handles and holds really well. Remember no traction control, so careful with throttle in the wet. Poor turning circle and poor rear visibility make it diabolical for parking in Central London without kerbing tyres.

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

Superb and it sounds like a little Ferrari when you howl it through the gears.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Alternator packed up and after using turbo, I always took care to leave engine running 10s before switch off.

    Image

    1 out of 5 1.0

A very striking looking car, even now. Wish I still had it - my kids loved it! Although not understated, it looked like a car rather than a Countach.

    Comfort

    1 out of 5 1.0

The leather seats and air con made it comfortable for 4 average adults in summer.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

Fantastic. I left it all over London and never had any trouble.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

A London dealer was very poor and slap dash. Harlow dealer friendly and helpful; for such a car it deserved a better service image.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

None - I was always careful with servicing.

    Other

Beautiful car. Deserved better service and back-up approach: contrasted heavily with BMW.

    Ownership

Did you buy the car new?

    New

Would you buy the same model again?

    Yes

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?

    No
