Economy
Value
Bought second hand, so excellent value following Fiat's rapid depreciation.
Costs
The car had just had the cambelt change done (72,000 miles), although this had cost far less than a main dealer change! No service or MOT, so far, so no major costs to report...

On the road
Driving
A great drive, with the exception of the large turning circle, which can mean a three-point turn taking a few more points (only a very minor niggles though).
Performance
Excellent motorway acceleration, 80mph arrives in a shockingly short time and the temptation to have a look at 150mph could be too much for the average law-abiding motorist!

Living with it
Reliability
No problems so far. Starts first time, every time, however it needs a while to warm-up before it will accelerate smoothly...
Image
It has to be a five, mainly because we spent 2 years searching for a good example, at a price we could afford. Despite the many detractors, I still think it has unique looks, a great, if simple, interior trim and easily outshines the very common Audi TT.
Comfort
The full leather seats seem a bit hard to begin with, but on longer journeys this hasn't proved to be an issue. Being 6 ft 4", the adjustable steering wheel (height and reach) is a great help, and space is generally good all round.

Security and Service
Security
Thatcham 1 graded alarm gives peace of mind, however the fob activator/door locking can prove a bit unreliable?
Service
We have had Fiats for years, and the local main dealer has been providing first class aftersales service during this time (for new and second hand cars).
