Fiat Grande Panda Hatchback verdict
Should you buy one?
What a year 2025 is shaping up to be for characterful small electric cars. The Fiat Grande Panda joins the Renault 5 E-Tech and Hyundai Inster as a brilliant example of how small cars can still be done well – with outstanding style and affordability. That it also brings a decent driving experience and some real surprise and delight features, not to mention appealing practicality, means the Grande Panda deserves to be fighting for a place right at the top of your shortlist.
Quite frankly, if Fiat can’t shift as many of these as it can get its hands on in the UK, something has surely gone dreadfully wrong. It will be interesting to see a Euro NCAP result, when it appears, as low-cost EVs don’t typically fair well in this area. But unless that’s an absolute disaster, the Grande Panda has massive hit written all over it, and I for one can’t wait for the rest of the extended Panda family to arrive.
