Fiat Marea Weekend 1.6 16V SX (100bhp) 5d (1999/T) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Bought my ex-fleet high-miler for a song.
Costs
Car returns 33mpg despite mix of motorway speeds and 1st gear traffic crawling.
-
On the road
Driving
Satisfying handling. Well weighted steering. Good grip.
Performance
1.6 twin-cam is very fiesty and sounds great. Beats my mate's A4 1.8 away from the lights.

Living with it
Reliability
Only major problem clutch master cylinder replaced - high miles on this car though!
Image
Looks best in silver or black; from front, looks like it means business. Contoured lines defies age.
Comfort
Seats may be of tough material, but very supportive. Excellent headroom.
-
Security and Service
Security
Fitted Cat 1 Clifford alarm. Good protection; side impact bars, drivers bag, pretensioners. Thick pillars reassuring.
Service
Fiat dealer very good. Price not bad. (Mervyn Stewart, Belfast).
