Summary
What does this car say about you?
Panda is a little fashion statement in it's way. Driven by a women, it says only that. Driven by a man, it says that you have the power to be different and practical.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone loves it, who gets to drive it falls in love. Some of them even bought/intended to buy one.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Anytime because it's so reliable and so well designed for it's purpose.
What are you likely to buy next?
I bought a Fiat Doblo next, which is like a bigger Panda. I'd buy also a new Panda, but a 1.3 diesel 4WD one.

Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£9,000
When did you buy the car?
March 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Just a minor 350 discount.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
The need for a cheap reliable car, with lots of safety features and rough enaugh to carry me and my mountainbikes or skis up to the mountains.
What was the dealer like?
Good, but not perfect, as I had troubles collecting my new car from another city that the one where I made the order. The car came in 2 months, less then the 3 months I was told - it was a special order.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I had lots of fun driving it. The small dimensions and light steering makes it a little rocket in the trafic. On twisty country roads, the ESP lets you push it to the limit and puts a smile on your face. Not so great on motorway, no more power from 75 mph. Excellent in snow and mud, because of the narrow tires and the great ESP and ASR.
What's it like to park?
As expected, as easy as it is possible. Maybe the easiest to park car in the world after Smart.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I owned the car for 2 years/50.000 miles. I had only one minor suspension problem, solved under warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
Small but roomy, the vertical tailgate allows a lot of stuff in the boot, perfect for 2 persons with lots of equipment.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
VDC (the ESP, ASR and Hill Holder package) - a very sporty tuned pack, the 8 airbags (not used, but good to know they exist), City Mode, fog lights and the sophisticated front/rear wipers.
