-
Economy
Value
I got what I paid for and reckon I got value for money
Costs
Does the job it was bought for! 2nd car for cheap commuting. 45mpg, cheap tax, cheap insurance, cheap bits.
-
On the road
Driving
Average to good in most departments - brakes and handling are adequate for the performance.
Performance
It is red and Italian - there the similarity ends! It accelerates and goes up hills but don't expect both at the same time!
-
Living with it
Reliability
It has never failed to get me to work (and home again!) in 2yrs & 15k miles.
Image
Who needs image for commuting!
Comfort
Surprisingly roomy and comfortable even for a 6 footer - typical Fiat short leg, long arm driving position.
-
Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser but nothing else - but then who'd want to nick this!
Service
Service it myself - had a fault that needed diagnostic check - only time I have used a dealer.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Ran on 2 cylinders for a while until I resolved a failed ignition coil, it has a howl which is probably the cam belt tensioner otherwise very reliable
Other
Heater matrix has a tiny leak (common Punto problem) which barely causes the coolant level to drop but smells a bit and mists up the windows - matrix is difficult to remove so fixed with Radweld which seems to be holding for now
Ownership
Did you buy the car new?
Used
Would you buy the same model again?
Yes
Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?
Yes
