Fiat Punto Hatchback 55 S 3d (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A lot of car for your money.
Costs
40mpg everywhere means I don't spend much on it.

On the road
Driving
Smoother than I expected. Gearbox a bit whiny, but fairly quiet for a supermini.
Performance
Engine revs rise, but it doesn't seem to go faster... not for boy racers, but nippy enough.

Living with it
Reliability
A core plug went on the engine, which meant my cylinder head needed skimming and a new gasket. Apart from that, nothing has gone wrong (most reliable car I have owned).
Image
Still looks modern. Is good enough for me!
Comfort
Doesn't soak up bumps that well, but fine for most roads. Huge interior for its class size.

Security and Service
Security
Never been broken into and there are more desirable cars out there...
Service
Service the car myself and only had to buy basic parts, such as oil and spark plugs. Everything else seems fine.
