Economy
Value
Not much for the money. Not very well made. No gadgets at all on S-model, only manual sunroof.
Costs
Surprisingly low MPG for a small 1.2 petrol - the best I managed, even on a long trip was 40 MPG. Not sure if it was just mine or the norm for this model. Parts are cheap though.

Driving
Fairly nippy and grippy with good manoeuvrability. S-model doesn't have PAS, so steering a little heavy in tight spots. Large headrests and pillars where lights are mounted block rear visibilty at corners of car, unnerving when joining carriageways.
Performance
Fairly nippy around town, but runs out of puff at higher speeds and engine noise becomes intrusive at speed.

Living with it
Reliability
Good, started first time every time.
Image
Looks a bit cheap in my opinion, only bought it as a cheap runabout. Can be easily upgraded though.
Comfort
Not very well made, a bit tinny and hollow. Comfy, elevated driving position. Leaking roof where ariel is fixed. Drivers seatbelt kept jamming, which is quite annoying when you're in a hurry and can get pulled over for not wearing it.

Immobiliser, but no alarm on this model

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Not enough power, but still nippy.
Other
If you're looking to buy this model of Punto, I'd seriously consider a Peugeot 106. They're much better built and comfier with more kit.
