Economy
Value
Not too expensive these days. can probably get one for under £1000 if you shop around. Its good value for this price but not really worth much more than this
Costs
Most parts for these cars come as complete units making them a little more expensive. For example, a thermostat is purchased with housing only etc

On the road
Driving
car drives well around the town and on the motorway. Easy to keep up with flow of traffic on motorway. Doesn't really feel like you are driving a small car. Understeers on corners in particular when wet. Not the smoothest ride and lots of road noise.
Performance
Engine generally performs well. Pretty quite at high speed and quite nippy. Doesn't really pick up till about 3000rpm. Then it really gets going. Started every time for me!

Living with it
Reliability
Always started first time. starter motor quite loud and sounds heavy handed. always started though
Image
Its main strength. These cars look cool next to the brand new cars of today which seem to borrow from its unique design. They still look fresh faced. The 3dr version of this hatch is pure and simply cool.
Comfort
I think this car is very spacey inside and I found adjustable seats and steering wheel allowed me to find perfect driving position. Seats are firm and offer good support.

Security and Service
Security
Just average I guess. Nothing special although the immobiliser gives some piece of mind. Apparently impossible to start without the key.
Service
Heard lots of bad things about fiat customer services though I don't have any experience with them personally
