Fiat Punto Hatchback 60 SX 3d (2001/X) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Bought mine just before the new model came out, so it lost quite a lot in value then.
Costs
Haven't had any costs yet and owned for 19 months.

On the road
Driving
When I bough it, it was awful. Took corners very badly. I had it lowered 35mm and put gas shock absorbers on it. Holds the road quite a lot better now, for a couple of hundred pounds.
Performance
The car seems pretty quick, especially around town. On the motorway, doing 70mph puts the car in about 3500 - 4000rpm, with a redline at 6000.

Living with it
Reliability
The electric windows are an embarassment. They'd wind up quicker manually.
Image
The car has a nice look about it. Personally, I prefer it more than the new model.
Comfort
Quite comfortable and has lumbar support.

Security and Service
Security
Feels like a safe car, with a 'thud' when you close the doors. Only has an immobiliser and no alarm.
Service
I bought the car from Polar Ford - what a mistake. The 2 front alloys were buckled, which caused me a lot of grief trying to get them changed under the warrantly.
