Economy
Value
Purchased august 2003 for £2k with 50k miles on the clock. Good value used compared to many other popular rivals.
Costs
Good fuel economy, even at motorway speeds. Reasonable servicing/maintenance costs. Group 5 insurance possibly a bit high for a 1.2 engine.

On the road
Driving
Sometimes feels a bit like it may tip up but for its age, generally pleasing to drive.
Performance
Feels very lively and sounds great at higher revs. Wont break many records but certainly puts a lot of cars of similar capacity to shame.

Living with it
Reliability
Only one unexpected cost to date rear radius arms - to replace them cost around £200 at a small Fiat dealership at 53k miles. Other than that only a couple of light bulbs and fuses. Much better than some people think!!
Image
I love my Fiat. People don't generally hold Fiat in high regard which is good news for me coz it means they're fantasticly affordable!
Comfort
Front seats do look a little thin, but despite this they are, along with the rest of the car, very comfy, even on longer journeys from Oxford to Brighton and Cardiff. Back seat space very spacious for such a small car.

Security and Service
Security
Unique code etched onto windows for contacting International Security Register, Fiat CODE imobiliser and removeable panel on original Fiat radio. Secure spare wheel, unlike some rivals of this age. Have taken extra precautions for peace of mind.
Service
I use a small Fiat dealership near to Oxford which give a very good level of service at good prices.
