Economy
Value
Cheap now for such a modern-design of car. Great value for small family hatch.
Costs
Impressive fuel economy, at least 42mpg and probably more on long-distance. Not so great if driven enthusiastically though!

On the road
Driving
Good cruiser, not the smoothest ride but handling is top-notch.
Performance
Very impressive performance for a 1.2. The multipoint injection system developes 75bhp which puts most rivals in this category to shame. Quicker than most Escorts and other hatches on the market with bigger engines.

Living with it
Reliability
Have heard stories of dodgy clutches and unreliable engine-management but experienced no mechanical problems personally in 10,000 miles. Bodywork a bit flimsy, may dent easily.
Image
Quirky image for dated car, still looks new. Best with colour-coded bumpers.
Comfort
Very generous cabin space, good rear legroom. Seats a little hard, but you can't have it all!

Security and Service
Security
Standard security features. No problems encountered.
Service
Fiat parts hard to come by, but good dealership support.
