Economy
Value
Good value for money considering performance and general reliabilty.
Costs
Good fuel economy, even when mostly motorway miles. Servicing and parts can be expensive when using dealers. Got over 50k miles out of first set of tyres.

On the road
Driving
Surely the best in its class. Cornering not so good, but it is a tall car. Gear change is notchy, but positive.
Performance
Great performance from a 1.2 engine. Sounds great when accelerating hard and will accelerate uphill at 85. Easily cruisable at high motorway speeds.

Living with it
Reliability
Always started first time. Exhaust back box fell off at 38k miles, head gasket went at 50k and rear suspension arm at 58k. Doors stick and creak. Periodically won't select first gear and rear washer broke.
Image
Better than anything in its class. It IS Italian.
Comfort
Seats are a little flat, but comfortable (I'm 6' 3"). Drove to Hungary, South of France and Spain last year in comfort. Rear space is ok.

Security and Service
Security
Only engine immobiliser and own steering lock. Never had a problem, apart from idiots playing football with the front foglights.
Service
Can be expensive for repairs (£650 for head gasket) and services. Use an independent Fiat/Alfa specialist if you can find one.
