Economy
Value
I bought the car privately in May 2000 for only £4300 with 40,000 miles. It was in absolute mint condition with full FIAT Service History and 12 months MOT. An absolute bargain!
Costs
Slightly high for a little car, but it is a very, very fast little car and so worth every penny.

Driving
Huge surges of power, very driveable (once you get used to the variable boost turbo) with good brakes. Watch understeer in wet. Suspension is a bit soft and bouncy, especially under braking.
Performance
WOW! This is a 1372cc car, with 136BHP. With the light weight and the sudden burst of energy when the engine hits 2700rpm is addictive.

Living with it
Reliability
Apart from the Lambda sensor failing once I have had not one problem in 25,000 miles and wouldn't expect any as long as the engine is looked after regularly.
Image
Cheeky with a fat behind, the Punto GT gives the true meaning of Spirito di Punto, a real Italian sports car in a trendy subtle body with appeal to all ages. Still looks fresh now.
Comfort
Seats have minimal support for energetic driving or prolonged driving but you can forgive that easily.

Security and Service
Security
Never been a problem but would suggest a quality aftermarket alarm/immobiliser for peace of mind as GTs are becoming very sought after.
Service
Usually very good, if slightly expensive.
