Economy
Value
Don't pay dealer prices. Mine was £7000 brand new from a car supermarket, admittedly for the old 1.2 model (03 model, 04 plate). For this I got air con, airbags, electric sunroof, 6-way CD changer in-dash, metallic paint, alloys, trip computer…
Costs
42mpg and cheap insurance.

Driving
Great fun to drive. Needs to be revved a bit and the ride is really crashy on poor surfaces, otherwise superb.
Performance
Needs to be revved but even though it's only a 1.2 it's brisk up to 60. It's not going to win any races but it pulls well with lots of grip too.

Living with it
Reliability
Too soon to tell, I've only had it a couple of weeks. No problems yet though.
Image
'Fiat Punto' sounds girly but this is a chunky, sporty lad's car. Looks fabulous, too. Mine's silver but possibly blue is even better.
Comfort
Very crashy ride on poor surfaces but lovely sports seats and loads of room - I'm 6' 2" and don't even need the seat all the way back. If you're any taller, just don't get one with a sunroof. The rear is cramped. Great equipment, nice interior trim.
