-
Economy
Value
Similar price to 206 GTi and Polo GTi, but with more kit and less quality.
Costs
Good fuel economy, reasonable servicing, steep insurance.
-
On the road
Driving
Leans a lot. Tyres squeal on bends; can lose grip easily.
Performance
As quick as 130bhp suggests, but don't try to use it on bends.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Abysmal. Poor build quality. Far too many defective parts - hard time getting Fiat to repair.
Image
Striking shape in astral blue. Turns heads, but no image as a driver's car. Attracts young thieves.
Comfort
Good seats. Okay driving position, but wheel/column too low.
-
Security and Service
Security
Alarm and immobiliser. Locks survived a crude and determined attempt.
Service
Supplying dealer and Fiat UK slow and disinterested; used 4 dealers and only 1 was good.
