Fiat Seicento Sporting 3d (1999/V) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Can be a good bargain, but they don't hold their value.
Costs
The cheapest to run car I've ever owned. Don't understand people's comments on expensive tyres, budgets for the 13" alloy are under £20.

On the road
Driving
Great fun around town, better than expected on motorway (although still not great).
Performance
Quick off the mark but an awful flat spot when you try to push it. They're not a big fan of hills either, but ok for it's size.

Living with it
Reliability
No real problems. Exhaust is only available as a complete system, but Walker ones are reasonably priced.
Image
Depends on your tastes, there's no doubt you'll get a little bit of stick for owning one (especially if you're a bloke). Depends on how insecure you are about that kind of thing).
Comfort
Sporting has comfortable seats and a well designed dash board. Space in the back is limited, although the car has held 7 on one occasion.

Security and Service
Security
Door lock barrels are easy to remove and expensive to replace. 'Rolling code' immobiliser makes the car very difficult to steal though.
Service
No major problems.

Engine
Tried and tested 'Fire' engine. Parts are cheap and plentiful, not difficult to work on.
