Summary
What does this car say about you?
That i know a good car when i buy one :).
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My dad thought when i bought it people would think i would look like a granny in it. but all my friends are quite jelous and impressed but the performance of the diesel (poooowwweeerrr). some cant even tell if it is a diesel or petrol because of how it drive and accelerates. also they find it hard not to be impressed by the sunroof and looks of the car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would think twice as it has its problems and a change is alway nice. but if i had to get another long term car then i would get this one as it is really quite good!
What are you likely to buy next?
Although im only 19 i quite like the looks of a volvo s40 or a ford focus.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It is quite good to drive it feels upmarket to drive also it is incredibly quick compared to my last car (1998 vauxhall astra 1.7td saloon). the car is very good over bumpy roads and its ok in the corners but can lean a bit too much. one thing i dont like though is the city steering (which everyone raves about) i think its dangerous as it is too easy to turn the wheel. when it was increadily icy i could pull the wheels and it would twist to the opposites lock.
What's it like to park?
It is very easy to park as it had a decent turning circle and has fairly light steering (without the horrible city steering on). one problem i do have though is that the front is very long and you don't realise because of the curve on the bonnet. this meant i very nearly bumped the car into a wall while parking whiles thinking i had a huge amount of room left.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
A few things since i got it have gone wrong such as the draining from the sunroof had gotten blocked which meant that the water had been draining over the fuse box and all over the floor, we ended up having to use a smoke bomb to find what the problem was. also sometimes when it is cold a warning light comes up saying the number plate lights have stopped working (even though they havent). also i managed to break the back door linkage so it is like it is stuck on child lock...
What's most practical about your car?
Lots of little features that make it more practical such as the front passages seat can collapse forwards so you can have a big picnic table. also the back and front seats all move around which is an added bonus.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I love the 17" alloys, the amazing panoramic sunroof (which can be opened by using the remote keys), the stereo is pretty good and has lots of bass and very little distortion, also the dashboard information which tells you everything you want to (mpg, instant mpg, amount of time you've been driving, how much fuel is left etc).
