Fiat Tipo 2.0i 16V 3d (1999/S) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Top 2nd hand buy. Loads cheaper than a Golf, with more style and fun.
Costs
Ok until a main dealer part is the only option, then you would sometimes think you owned a Ferrari.

On the road
Driving
Great. Only really let down by some torque steel when pushed and inconsistant ride.
Performance
Loves revs and petrol stations if you use too many.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Let down a couple of times, always electrical.
Image
Ok in smaller engine form. Still looks good considering its age, but you need the full sedicivalvole for maximum effect.
Comfort
Average. Better now the original front seats have been replaced.

Security and Service
Security
No one's had a go at mine yet - famous last words.
Service
Only been to a main dealer once they were excellent but pricey.

Will probably rev forever.
Other
Rear brake calipers failed, leaving me with no handbrake - it was expensive.
