Fiat Tipo Hatchback (2016 - 2023) Easy Plus 1.4 T-Jet 120hp 5d Owner Review

A good looking and reliable car. The earlier versions miss some essential equipment such as Apple CarPlay but later models resolve this. The 1.4 is a very weak performer, but the 1.4 T Jet is a little rocket and worth finding. This engine makes the car easy to drive and an excellent performer. Discounts on a new Tipo are large, but even this doesn’t get around the fact that the car loses its value badly. For a car that had a list price of £17500 back in 2018, the trade in offer now is only £5600 for it which is dismal! The new recently launched MCA versions miss out on the 6 speed gearbox and the prices have gone up substantially for the limited range that is now on offer. The equipment levels are also not as good so a last of the line 1.4 T Jet Lounge, S design or mirror version would be better than the new Tipo MCA. Overall, an excellent much underrated car that is worth buying at the right price, with the right engine and trim.
