Fiat Tipo Hatchback (2016 - 2023) Elite 1.6 MultiJet 120hp 5d Owner Review

In their own words
I bought my Tipo as a pre-reg with almost £8k off the list price of a new one. Mine is the Elite model which comes with sat-nav, reversing camera, adaptive cruise control with autonomous braking as well as low resistance tyres. If it had come with climate control as well it would have been perfect. But I can't grumble when I think what I paid for it. I would describe the car as a 'white goods' kind of car. It is not the most exciting car to drive but it does everything adequately. It's roomy inside with enough room for my 2 kids and very comfortable. In fact I do not get a stiff back when using it on long journeys at all. I know the motoring media have criticised some of the materials used on the tops of the doors and parts of the dashboard, but they feel very robust and there are no rattles in the car at all in 2 years of ownership. The stuff you do touch like the steering wheel and gear stick all feel very nice. The engine is very good and as the engine is starting to open up the economy is improving and I am now seeing 65mpg on my daily commute. My only issues so far is the DAB has stopped working which is a common issue and should be rectified when it gets serviced next week, and the servicing at the main dealers is on the pricey side. Other than that it has been very reliable. Like I have said it is not very engaging to drive, but that means it is relaxing to drive, and on my daily commute that is exactly what I need. I have owned more expensive and sportier cars in the past but I have been very impressed with my Tipo so far.
