Fiat Uno 1.0 ie Cat 5d (1993/K) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good value if you find a decent low-miler.
Costs
Cheap to maintain, but not easy to fix yourself always.
-
On the road
Driving
Light steering and quiet (even on Motorways). First gear is annoying - you must be stationary to select it.
Performance
999cc FIRE engine; excellent in town, rubbish for going up long hills. Has to be driven HARD up hills with quick gear changes.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Can be very reliable if maintained properly.
Image
Classic SQUARE 80s appearance - suits me.
Comfort
Very comfortable - especially with new shock absorbers all round.
-
Security and Service
Security
What security - my granny could break into it with her umbrella.
Service
Fiat have appalling customer service these days - Never try to buy parts from them for old Fiats - they are not interested in their old breeds.
-
