Fiat Uno 1.1 ie S 5d (1992/K) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Very cheap to run, all servicing done by myself to save money, very easy to do, everything was easily accessable.
Costs
Nothing major. Gearbox work at 47k miles due to past owner's driving style, head gasket at 80k, everything else wear parts, e.g. wheel bearings.

On the road
Driving
Perhaps a little biased as it was my first car but I loved it, great fun! Gearbox sloppy but it does the job!
Performance
Ok it's a 1.1, but I still had a great time with it.

Living with it
Reliability
Had the car for 3 years and covered 40k miles, she never let me down!
Image
I like them but they do perhaps look a little aged compared to current cars.
Comfort
I'm tall but I fitted in it fine. Suprising when you consider I can't actually drive a Rover 100 as I'm too big!

Security and Service
Security
Mine had an aftermarket immobiliser and alarm, people tried to get through the locks but couldn't so smashed the windows. Perhaps security not so good without the aftermarket security.
Service
Did not deal with manufacturer so cannot comment.
