Value
For a Mondeo in a sexy box it is good value.
Costs
Typical low Ford running costs. Few problems and low service costs.

On the road
Driving
Low speed is lumpy but cruises well, although the 2.0 unit is a little lacking at times.
Performance
2.0 is a bit lacking - go for the 2.5, it sounds better as well!

Living with it
Reliability
I did 50k in mine without majors problems. At 55k the rear tyres are original and front were replaced at 36k, very impressive.
Image
OK, I did have a Capri but it still looks good. Watch out for door knocks on the back panel - it is so flat that any blemish is very noticeable.
Comfort
Good seat - going high mileage was not a problem. Better than the C class Mercedes which gave me numb bum in 2 hours.

Security and Service
Security
Make sure the door locks have been changed - early recall problem.
