Summary
What does this car say about you?
Gets a few looks as i'm a younger driver looks good in shop windows all polished up but needs new wheels as standard ones look dated now imo.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
A bargain for the spec, against what i paid for it
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes pref one in better conditon or a 2.5 v6 X-pack if petrol prices drop
What are you likely to buy next?
Unsure, will treat myself nxt time maybe a ST24 mondeo or ST200, would settle for a nice v6 x-pack in black

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£1,650
When did you buy the car?
June 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Was up for £1895 in the window, haggled for new tyres and no service history drove it home for £1650, i think tht was pretty good for one with 70,000.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Was originally going to buy a 2.0l mondeo until this car arrived was for sale private and locally. Was advertised in the local paper so thought i'd take a look and as luck would have it drove it home 1hr later
What was the dealer like?
Purchased privately as dealers wanted £2k+ for cars with more miles, suggest searching privately first for any model!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very good, Lumpy around town, suprisingly impressive on the twisty stuff. Off the line sluggish would suggest the 2.5 V6 if you after more power. Comes into its own on Motorways, 70mph is 3,000rpm. Steering lacks feedback brakes could be sharper, suspension wobbly can leave you feeling a bit queasy at times. MPG around town 31-32 50mph average 50-60 60-70mph+ no more than 46mpg
What's it like to park?
In a word a nightmare, sloping long bonnet, long boot and bumper and huge C-pillars, parking sensors advisable or even a banksmen to guide you!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Heater Retun Pipe failed and leaked water, reguired 4litres of Volvic to get me home from Eatbourne! Other thn tht will need tyres and tracking, and alternator is on the way out as poer windows getting slower by the day. But for a 9 year old 'F'ix 'O'r 'R'epair 'D'aily what can one expect??
What's most practical about your car?
A Mahoosive boot, i havent managed to overload it yet, back seats can fold flat and can take anything from mountain bikes, to fence panels.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Climate control, onboard computer, and electric everything, but being a ford make sure it ALL works before you talk money.
