Economy
Value
A lot of car for the money.
Costs
Thirsty when driven hard, but reasonable at lower speeds. Parts prices not too bad as it's basically a Mondeo.

On the road
Driving
Very good. Smooth at speed. Choppy around town due to sports suspension. Excellent handling. Fuel injection can be lumpy at low speed.
Performance
Grand Tourer as opposed hot hatch. With a 0-60 time of 8.2 seconds, you won't be seeing off many civic type Rs. Great on the motorway with a fair bit of torque, and at 3,500 rpm, there's a definite kick.

Living with it
Reliability
Big ends went within the first 2 weeks of me buying. It is a problem that V6 cougars occasionally suffer from, if the oil level isn't kept at max. Check for service history, and be very wary if the oil level on the dipstick is anywhere in the lower half.
Image
Good at the moment, but in 20 years time, will probably looked upon as the Capri is now.
Comfort
Very good. I'm 6'2" and have no problems whatsoever. Not huge amounts of legroom in the back, but more than a Celica.

Security and Service
Security
Very good, though the remote key fob can be fiddly to use.
Service
I've been waiting 2 weeks for a small plastic clip.
