Good workhorse. Recomended as a first car if driving long distance (I was doing 350 motorway miles a week).

I spent over £1000 on mine in maintenance (servicing, brakes, battery) and repairs (see below). Bought for £1700, sold last week for £1800. Average cost me £500 per year minus insurance/MOT.

I really really enjoyed driving this car, both urban and motorway.

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

Loads of power in 2nd/3rd. Drops out at higher speed. Managed 110mph.

Errr... It's an Escort. Liked understated power - left same age Golfs standing.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Driving seat very nice, but shotgun was too low. Never sat in back - only one complaint that ride was hard.

Central locking/alarm/immobiliser fitted. Had problem with alarm not disengaging on driver side lock.

Nothing more than expected. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!
