Advertising on behalf of a customer this lovely 1983 Caspian Blue RS1600i in very good order. Great looking car which has just had a fair bit spent and was used regularly over the summer. It starts runs and drives and is a really tidy useable example. We have a history file detailing most of the previous owners. The first owner had it from new until 2010 and it appeared to have spent a long time in storage during his ownership. It was used on and off until 2012 then again stored until 2018 when it had a light restoration. Its now registered as Historic on the V5. The mileage shows 30,000 miles which we cant verify. The history dates back to 2002 with an MOT showing 25784 miles at that point. There is no paperwork prior to that point.Body - Correct RS1600 shell with all the right bits in the right places. Number still on floor and visible. Car is nice and straight along the sides and paintwork is very nice. Underbonnet area is really clean. Car has had some minor repairs over the years including front floor corners and battery tray area. Underneath has been waxoyled at some point to protect it. Good bumpers, headlights and spotlights. Front bib and rear spoiler are good. Good looking carMechanics - Good engine which starts no problem. Original 5 speed gearbox, correct double anti roll bar set up, Still running twin coils which were recently replaced. Full service incl oil, filters, plugs, timing belt replaced, new driveshaft gaitor. Front springs look to have been uprated at some point. Car starts runs and drives well. It pulls well with no flatspots or misses. When the current owner got it there were lots of little jobs needing doing but he went right through the car sorting it out.Interior - Correct seats which have no rips or tears . Little bit of sagging on bases but not bad at all and very comfy. Dash has only minor cracks around the vents and overall is pretty good. Good door cards, headlining and carpetWheels - 5 x Correct Rs1600 Alloys with good tyres.Really tidy useable example which would sit well at any show. If you want a concours minter then remember they are 35k, which this isnt. You are welcome to come and see the car and view it on a ramp. Delivery can be arranged if required.
