Ford Fiesta Active: what's it like inside?

The Active’s cabin layout is exactly the same as the Ford Fiesta with the exception of some bespoke scuff plates and very supportive sports seats. It also has some body-coloured details that make it feel more cheerful than lower-spec standard hatchbacks.

The fabric on the seats is different to the regular Fiesta, which Ford claims has been designed to better suit those with active lifestyles. They feel high quality, but also that they'll stand up to a tough life.

  • Similar to regular Fiesta hatchback
  • Quiet cabin and excellent seats
  • Bodyroll more pronounced

Ford Fiesta Active: will it be comfy?

There isn’t a huge amount of difference between the Active and the regular Ford Fiesta when it comes to comfort.

The suspension has been tweaked to reduce the harshness of bumps, but we found the extra bodyroll coupled with relatively firm damping a little odd – especially over mid-corner bumps – for a car of this size and shape, but did note the sports seats on all Actives are extremely comfortable and well-supported.

The ride is less fidgety than regular Fiesta models, but the larger wheels work to undo this slightly and make larger bumps more noticeable than in the standard car. It's never harsh, though, remaining one of the best superminis for ride comfort.

There's more road noise making its way into the cabin, though.

We like the Ford Fiesta Active's seats
