Ford Fiesta 1.1 L 3d (1988/F) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Very cheap to buy.
Costs
A bit heavy on the gas if not set up right, or pushed hard. Other than that, cheap parts and dirt cheap insurance.

On the road
Driving
A bit frightened of hard cornering but very good ride and comparitively quiet (old car was a L reg Seat Ibiza and the Fez is actually quieter!)
Performance
Not about to set the world on fire but for a 45bhp engine, with a 4 speed "box, it can surprise. Use Shell Optimax petrol and notice the difference.

Living with it
Reliability
Starts every time though the choke is a bit of a gamble!
Image
Old man/womans car with those titchy little bumpers but still respected more than Novas at least! You need (like i need) clear front indicators to bring things a bit more up to date.
Comfort
Seats are great for short journeys (like using a bean bag) but they arent so good for long distances. Ride is excellent for a car this age, so no issues there.

Security and Service
Security
Haha...security?! Some thieving scum has busted the door lock so im going in for Chubb"s.
Service
Cant comment for this particular car but relatives/friends have had nothing but problems from Arriva (Sunderland) not being able to diagnose faults (which my father was able to diagnose)!!
