Ford Fiesta 1989
  • Economy

    Value

    2 out of 5 2.0

Reasonable to buy but you don't get much for your money, not even a rear wiper.

    Costs

    2 out of 5 2.0

Fuel economy average and currently costing £15 per 3 months for new oil.

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not bad at motorway speeds funnily enough, but rather lethargic in general.

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

Slow and with lumpy gearchanges. Awful on hills.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

Never actually broken down, but lets just say it isn't ageing well.

    Image

    3 out of 5 3.0

If it's clean and tidy, not bad.

    Comfort

    2 out of 5 2.0

Pretty basic. Ride is ok but no support from the seats.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    1 out of 5 1.0

An immobiliser but I doubt it would prove much of a problem if someone were daft enough to nick it.

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

Shocking service from CG Ford. Never find the problem but happily charge you £400 for looking. New engine to replace oil burning but still doing it. £400 repairs to stop cutting out but still doing it.
