Got mine for £475 in oct 03 with only 65,000 miles on the clock.
Costs
Doesn't use much fuel - about 350 miles a tank.

Pretty good, very scary above 70 though!

Alright for a 1.1, acceleration is a bit slow, but you get there eventually.

Has only let me down once due to spark plugs, other than that it runs great.

The standard one looks okay I think, although the wing mirrors look huge. Easy to replace most parts with better models.
Comfort
Pretty good. Seats aren't exactly an armchair, but comfortable enough.

What security! No alarm or immobiliser, plain old Ford locks! I recommend fitting a good alarm.
