Ford Fiesta 1.1 Ghia 5d (1990/H) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap as chips to buy, but you'll struggle to sell it on.
Costs
Very poor mpg considering the size of the engine. Goes through oil like a power plant. Don't expects the Ford bodywork to stay free from tinworm...

On the road
Driving
Fun down twisty roads - but skinny tires and ancient brakes leave you trembling when the weather gets icy...
Performance
Not bad round town, feels faster than it is. Very hard work up hills and poor acceleration on the motorway.

Living with it
Reliability
Bodywork falling apart, brakes cylinders went and needs too much choke to get the engine warm in the mornings.
Image
It's a Fiesta - common as muck. Though Ghia metallic paint looks quite snazzy - if I could be bothered to wash it.
Comfort
Very comfy seats, well equipped interior but quite loud at motorway speeds or when accelerating briskly.

Security and Service
Security
Not had any problem.
Service
Parts are ten a penny from Ford dealer.
