Lots of DIY work had garage change brake disks more than once they keep going wrong again (juddering).

Fuel economy quite good for period (>45 miles/gallon on long distance motorway driving). Engine performance poor at times.

    Reliability

    1 out of 5 1.0

Very poor maintanance (I got it without service history, with c73000 on clock). Engine worn. Had almost £200 MOT work done on it a year after purchase. Just failed MOT again for body corrosion. Engine well past its prime. Burns oil and fouls plugs.

I was very pleased to have a car, after months of searching and deciding what to get. Getting rid of it will be very sad.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Plenty of space in front not all that much in rear. Have been able to adjust seats to make room for various kinds of luggage.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Probably average for Ford car from that period with their kind of locks. Had locks broken once (but thief did not get in). Did DIY repair to locks. Have a "Stock Lock" yellow stearing bar.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Did not have serviced by manufacturer.
