Ford Fiesta 1.1i Ghia 5d (1990/G) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Great value for money. About £300 to buy.
Costs
Parts are really cheap, £96 for a brand new fitted exhaust, £10 for a starter motor etc.
-
On the road
Driving
A bit tinny, but moves. Quite nippy and feels bigger than the engine size.
Performance
Starts first time (apart from when my starter motor went and the time I ran out of fuel!)

Living with it
Image
Quite a modern look, easy to kit up, rust a lot on sills and wheel arches but panels and sills are cheap to buy about £12 for a sill. If it failed the MOT it would be rust damage.
Comfort
Very comfy seats back and front, electric windows etc an added bonus.

Security and Service
Security
Absolutely pants. Mine's been attacked by a screw driver, need a new lock barrel but saying that they didn't get in!
Service
A lot more expensive than going to the scrapyard!

Very good. Starter motors are crap, but once they start they are great (but get an Xr2 under-bonnet sound proofer cos they are noisy from outside).
Other
Boot switch and electric window motor on driver's side don't work.
