Ford Fiesta 1.4 Si 3d (1995/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Not too expensive to buy. Parts reasonable, but needed regular maintenance.
Costs
Parts average, but there was always something wrong. CVH engine was weak (classic Ford). Expensive tyres and consumables.

On the road
Driving
Brakes could be better, handling could be sharper, but quiet at speeds, coped well with long distances. Covered 10,000 miles in 4 months!
Performance
Not bad for a 1.4. Never broke down, very reliable, but power steering not responsive enough - too easy to slide on bends and roundabouts.

Living with it
Reliability
Never let me down, because I was always servicing it!
Image
Good to look at the front, but side is a bit standard, needs skirts, looks sportier than it is!
Comfort
Very comfy seats, good space, quiet, nice to drive, but awkward gears.

Security and Service
Security
Usual weak door locks, but immobiliser impressive.
Service
My local dealer was expensive and very unhelpful!
