Summary
What does this car say about you?
You're "Average Joe" - then fellow ford owners realise its a Ghia and then your credibility goes up. Although because it's a five door, it tells people you like a bit of practicality.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everybody who goes for a spin praises the car up without fail. People are impressed by the clean & fresh styling. However, anybody sat on the back seats have a different story to tell. The back seats have the smallest amount of legroom possible. For decent legroom in the back, you need to have a 28" leg length. Ideal if you intend to take your nan and her friends to bingo.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely! I'd probably opt for a 3 door version as the rear doors are pointless as there is no room in the back. I'd also like to try the 1.4 engine.
What are you likely to buy next?
Volvo 480.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£1,800
When did you buy the car?
May 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
I traded my 1993 Vauxhall Corsa in at the same time so I finally paid £1300.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I was looking for something with that edge. Which you may laugh at, considering I went for the most common car on the road.
What was the dealer like?
He was friendly and was helpful in rectifying a slow electric window before I bought it.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fantastic! That engine is unbelievably nippy to say its only a 1.2. On the motorway it feels like there's always power there for you to use. There isn't the need to screech along in low gears; fearing a lack of power.
What's it like to park?
Standard. The turning circle is poor in my opinion and this reflects when trying to park. You expect it to manoeuvre a bit better really for a small car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not a sausage!
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is rather large. The "big shop" fits in with no problems.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The heated front windscreen. When you have a car full of people, it's handy to use instead of turning the heating on and boiling your passengers alive.
