Value
Fiesta's have always offered good value.
Costs
55+MPG, cheap easy DIY servicing. Cam belts (note's) need changing regularly!
-
On the road
Driving
Handles well, extra weight doesn't affects it slightly compared to petrol models, but still very good for age of design.
Performance
Poor, 0-60 times of nearly a weekend, but very, very frugal!
-
Living with it
Reliability
Very, nothing major in service log, however cambelts failed at 158k (turned out they had NEVER been changed!) resulting in scrap engine.
Image
Fairly modern looking, fun to drive, good handling!
Comfort
Like most mkIV Fiesta's the seats are a bit hard, but you adapt to it!
-
Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser, but no extra features on this model.
Service
Just for parts.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Supposedly capable of 300k before serious problems, however with cambelt failure high on these engines, expect an engine swap pretty soon if you haven't looked after it!
Other
Tiny niggly faults, nothing you won't get in any Ford.
Ownership
Did you buy the car new?
Used
Would you buy the same model again?
No
Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?
Yes
